They are great family pets and are very intelligent. They have a friendly and tolerant attitude. The ease of training and trustworthiness makes them good family dogs especially with children. They have high tendencies to get obese, therefore they require a good amount of exercise.  

Golden Retrievers can range from golden to cream and dark golden to golden. They have thick undercoats that require regular grooming. The head of a golden retriever is strong and broad with a straight muzzle and muscular body.
